Design your platform storage beds. Measure the size of your mattress. Determine the amount of boxes you want. Three on each side will work. A twin has only one set of drawers. In addition, you measure how much you want the platform to be. Build the frame of the bed for the drawers. Start by cutting a piece of MDF length of your bed and height as you want your platform to be. Cut the board to grab the upper and lower frame pieces. Screw these on the middle bit. Cut a cross section to connect to the middle bit of the support mechanism. The boxes will pass between each section. You will have two on each side of the middle bit. Screw in place. You will wander on the boards something to connect them. Attach grooves for the boxes on the cross section pieces.
Screw down the bit of MDF on the frame with an electric screwdriver. Attach screws to each corner and between one and two meters apart from each other along the frame. Turn over the bed and screw up the piece of MDF board on the frame. Sand and color boards. Build your platform storage beds with MDF. The boxes should have a bottom piece and four sides. Sand, bet and put a handle on the front of the drawers. The size of the bed will determine the depth of the drawers. Make the boxes approximately one inch smaller than those box openings on the bed. Attach runners to boxes and then connect them to grooves inside the bed. Put the drawers in place. Lay the mattress on top of the bed.
